Lesson Plan of the week

Ways to Persuade

Teach ethos, pathos, and logos with these easy to use lessons.

Hi Reader,

Oh my gosh!

How did it get to March already?? Remember in August when you thought you had "all this time"???

And... how to plan when you might (and probably do) have a Spring Break disrupting your lesson plans?

Take a deep breath and do this:

  • make sure all projects are finished before students go on break -- but -- DO NOT PLAN TO GRADE THEM OVER BREAK.

Instead, think about the fastest and most efficient way to assess work.

Try this:

Before you make an assignment, think about how you will assess it. This blog post will help:

Use checklists to streamline and organize what you actually need to assess. You'll find helpful checklists here:

And try a "walking gradebook" to grade while students are working (this was a serious game-changer for me). This video shows you how:

I hope these ideas help you save time -- and that tucked somewhere in this month is a SPRING BREAK for you!

Give them a try and let me know what you think.

And, just in case no one has told you this recently, you are AMAZING and TALENTED because you are a dedicated professional! 💖

With gratitude for all you do,

Marypat
