What you loved in 2023 ...🎁... all wrapped up

Just a note

From Just Add Students

Hi Reader,

Do you love those year-end "wraps"? My favorite is Spotify, which this year kind of shamed me -- I listened to waaay too much Taylor Swift!

But as a year-end wrap of my own, I want to thank you for sharing your in-box with me, and I am so very grateful and humbled that you have repeatedly found my resources, freebies, and blog posts helpful.

So -- here's a "wrap" of what you all found valuable this year.

Top ten posts:

10. How to Teach Argument Writing -- this is a step-by-step post that will guide you through the entire process of teaching students how to write an argument.

9. How to Teach a Sonnet -- I absolutely love teaching sonnets. They are like brilliant puzzles. After teaching them, challenge your students to write one! They can do it!!

8. Your Guide to Teaching Memoir Writing -- from start to finish, this post will help you teach your students how to write a memoir.

7. Easy Ways to use Literature Circles in Middle School -- want to add literature circles or book clubs, but you're not sure how it all fits together? This post is for you!

6. How to Teach Propaganda -- this is so much fun to teach because once your students start looking at propaganda, they won't stop talking about it!

5. How to Teach Characterization using Short Films -- a student favorite! Use Pixar Shorts or commercials to analyze characters.

4. Eleven Prewriting Strategies and How to Use Them -- when students use prewriting activities, their thinking is clarified. Don't overlook this important writing step.

3. Easy Ways to Teach Descriptive Writing -- it is always a challenge to get students to add description to their writing! This post has ideas to help you teach that skill.

2. Five Creative Writing Activities Students will Love -- and you will too! Take a break from dull writing topics with these five exercises.

1.Twelve Poems your Middle Schoolers will Love -- this post is the perfect place to start when you want to add poems to your lessons.

>> All of these resources are on sale on TPT today through Wednesday. <<

Again, thank you for being here!

And, just in case no one has told you this recently, you are an AMAZING and WONDERFUL human being! 💖

With gratitude for all you do,

Marypat
